A PAUSE TO FAST FASHION (UPCYCLE ACTIVITY)

"Waste isn't waste until we waste it"

This quote is one of my favorites, and the analogy of waste and best out of the waste is surprisingly difficult but beautiful to understand.

At Pearl academy we were given a task to create something out of some waste material, that is going to give us new experiences and in turn, protect our very own mother earth and its environment.

I borrowed a t-shirt from my father, At the very start I was unaware of how to redesign this cloth, but then the idea of the tie and die technique which I learned in class 11 struck my mind so I worked it out on this, Astonishingly It turned out to be gorgeous and very comfortable due to its texture and material.

But then to give originality to this I shredded its bottom part hoping for a different result and boom! The merger of these shredded pieces and lose t-shirt looks beautiful on my model.

The task given to us was to recreate only one piece of cloth, but work isn't work when you love your work. I started to enjoy this process of creating new stuff and saving the waste to be disposed of in landfills just like that. So I again took a blouse (an Indian upper body cloth usually worn with a saree) And managed to make a bag out of it, it gives me a resemblance to a small cute tote bag which I saw in Delhi Haat.  So my hard work of approximately 1 week paid off when these 2 of my projects turned out to be amazing.
