A PAUSE TO FAST FASHION (UPCYCLE ACTIVITY)

 "Waste isn't waste until we waste it"  This quote is one of my favorites, and the analogy of waste and best out of the waste is surprisingly difficult but beautiful to understand. At Pearl academy we were given a task to create something out of some waste material, that is going to give us new experiences and in turn, protect our very own mother earth and its environment.  I borrowed a t-shirt from my father, At the very start I was unaware of how to redesign this cloth, but then the idea of the tie and die technique which I learned in class 11 struck my mind so I worked it out on this, Astonishingly It turned out to be gorgeous and very comfortable due to its texture and material.  But then to give originality to this I shredded its bottom part hoping for a different result and boom! My first day at college

My first day at college   (pearl academy) My first day at college had a great meaning to me. It was the beginning of my dream to go to college and to pursue fashion design . It is an important event of my life. For me it’s an unforgettable day. I was the most curiously awaiting for that day.  I had so many emotions running trough me , it was the first time being in this level. I always wanted to be a college student , a serious student who would decide what to be in her life. The first day at PEARL ACADEMY was on 17 August 2022 . The first year of my freshman year and . That day I had so many things on my mind, from what I was going to wear to figure out where the class number and the floor it would be located at. There are so many new and unknown faces for me I never took a class like this before, and it was a totally different system than a traditional class that I used to attend.   I found a homely atmosphere there . I felt so much fortunate to have a student life ....

FAST FASHION An approach to the design, creation and marketing of clothing that emphasizes making fashion trends quickly and cheaply available to cosumers. Fast Fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to take advantage of trend. Fast Fashion grew during the late 20th century as manufacturing of clothing became less expensive  . The world is filled with people who have different beliefs, religions, traditions, and ways of living.  The existence of cultural diversity ensures respect for all the communities that exist in a single society. Cultural diversity is a global demand that ensures progress to the human race.   Cultural diversity includes: Race. Ethnicity. Sexual orientation. Religion. Language. Gender. Age. Disability. The World Day of Cultural Diversity is celebrated on 21st of May as declared by the UN General Assembly. The universal declaration of cultural diversity by UNESCO was in the year 2001 that recognizes cultural diversity as a ‘common heritage of humanity’.
